About the role
What we are looking for:
Council’s Infrastructure Strategy department is in an exciting growth phase, focused on modernising parking services and enhancing community experiences. This role supports our strategic priority to improve transport and parking infrastructure across the municipality.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead parking initiatives, manage contracts and drive innovation in parking technology. Reporting to the Coordinator Transport & Parking, the Team Leader Parking Infrastructure will lead a small team and oversee the full lifecycle of parking infrastructure projects, delivering an improved parking experience for the community.
The primary objectives of the position are to:
· Lead operation and management of Council parking infrastructure assets, policies and contracts including but not limited to:
o Off street car parks
o Parking sensors and parking data systems
o Car share and Public Electric Vehicle Charging agreements
o Parking meters and payment options (meter maintenance, cash collection and app payment contracts)
o Parking wayfinding and information (physical and digital)
o Trader parking permit schemes
· Deliver a high-quality customer interface for all matters relating to Parking Infrastructure and Parking Payment, ensuring responsive and effective service.
· Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance the parking experience for the community through innovation and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the following:
· Demonstrated experience at operating in a project management role, or in a role responsible for service contracts.
· Demonstrated experience of being accountable for delivering business plan objectives, meeting KPIs, deadlines and budget outcomes, and formal report writing.
· Experience working within a community interface role within Local Government or within the Parking sector/industry.
· Proven experience working in teams with strong understanding of leadership.
· Promote a positive image by demonstrating professionalism, ethical work standards and a high level of integrity, displaying and promoting the organisational values.
