School Work Experience
During work experience, students will spend your time with people who are passionate and committed to providing services and support to people who live, work and play in Greater Dandenong.
Council have limited opportunities in the following areas:

- Family Support
- Information Technology
- Library Services
- Outdoor work
- Planning and Design

- Residential Amenity Officer
- Sport and Recreation
Who can apply?
Council embraces diversity so encourage applications from secondary students of all abilities and diverse backgrounds.
We try to support as many Year 9 or Year 10 secondary school students as possible. This can sometimes be difficult because we have limited availability and demand for places can be high so we give preference to students who live in our city.

Payment
Students will be paid the current minimum payment of $5 per day.
Work Placements
If you are a senior student who wants to learn about and make a real difference to a community, you should apply for a work placement with us.
We know that providing work placements to senior students benefits everyone. You can apply your knowledge and skills in real situations, and we can help you make a successful leap from study to work. We also enjoy the enthusiasm and fresh ideas you can bring.
