About the Role

Our Community Compliance Department plays a crucial role in ensuring that our city is safe, compliant, and well-regulated. We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Team Leader to lead our Administration team and drive fast paced excellence within our Administrations team.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Administration Officer to provide daily support to the Team Leader of Administration in delivering services and support to the various teams within the Community Amenity Department, to ensure activities, systems and procedures operate in the most effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, develop and implement administrative procedures and systems that streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation and management of reports, documentation, and correspondence related to community compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to address compliance issues and ensure alignment with council policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage complex administrative tasks and resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members or external stakeholders.
  • Assist the Manager and Team Leader as required with collection/collation of statistical information and creation of statistical reports.

This Senior Administrative position is within a leading Local Government Council and provides the opportunity to drive positive culture change and really make a positive impact for both the organisation and our community.


About You

  • Extensive experience in Local Government administration or customer service.
  • Strong and clear customer service skills with the ability to effectively assess customer needs and resolve disputes
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management or other related discipline and / or extensive practical experience in a related field.
  • The ability to manage a high workload, organise and obtain compliance with the relevant legislation and at a very fast pace.
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong and meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
