About the Role

Council is seeking expressions of interest to work as a casual School Crossing Supervisor to assist our school students and other members of the community around schools. This role requires staff with a demonstrated ability to make responsible decisions, and an ability to relate to and communicate with young children. The position requires working casually across our Municipality (sometimes at short notice) both morning and afternoon shifts of approximately one hour per shift, on designated school days as and when required.
Successful candidates must be reliable and punctual, have their own vehicleand smart phone, be well presented and able to accept responsibility for children and other pedestrians under their care when crossing busy roads around schools in all weathers.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling/psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
