If so, an opportunity has become available to become a part of our evening Parking Compliance team, rostered between the hours of 12:00 Midday and 9:00pm. There is the opportunity for overtime on weekdays and weekends, however it will not be regularly rostered.

Training for this role will take place over an 8-week period and will require the applicant to be rostered varied hours between 7:00am and 9:00pm.

The Parking Compliance Team is based at the Dandenong Civic Centre, however the role covers the entire municipality.


What does the Parking Compliance team do?

  • Enforce parking restrictions under the Road Safety Act & Regulations
  • Respond to and investigate reports of illegal parking
  • Educate the community on parking related matters
  • Conduct regular patrol records
  • Assist with the monitoring of Councils school crossings

If this role sounds like it could be for you, previous experience in a customer service role and a good knowledge of Part 12 of the Victorian Road Rules will be an advantage but is not essential.

The successful candidate will require a good level of fitness as many patrols are conducted on foot. You may be required to undertake practical testing and a functional capacity assessment (physical).

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
