About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Organisation Development Consultant to make a genuine impact across our dynamic workplace. In this pivotal role, you’ll design and deliver organisation development, learning and leadership programs that drive workforce capability, culture and engagement at every stage of the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Organisation Development, Change & Capability Lead, you will work closely with leaders and teams across Council to design and deliver organisation‑wide initiatives including:
- Organisational development and workforce capability
- Learning and leadership development
- Employee experience and culture
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (including Gender Equality Action Plan initiatives)
- Change management and enterprise capability building
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver organisation development, learning and leadership initiatives across the employee lifecycle
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and talent development initiatives
- Deliver and embed diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, including Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) actions and legislative requirements
- Partner with leaders and stakeholders to understand context and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions
- Lead and manage OD and change projects, balancing multiple priorities
- Support the development and embedding of organisational change capability (frameworks, tools and coaching)
- Use data, insights and feedback to evaluate impact and continuously improve programs
- Contribute to a collaborative, future‑focused People, Safety & Culture team
What You’ll Bring
You’re a passionate and hands‑on OD practitioner who knows how to move from ideas to implementation. You have experience delivering organisation‑wide programs across capability, leadership, culture, DEI and change, and you’re confident managing multiple priorities at once.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in organisational development, learning and development, workforce capability or change management
- Ability to translate strategy, frameworks and policy into practical programs and tools
- Strong communication, facilitation and relationship‑building skills
- Experience using HR systems, learning platforms, survey tools and data to inform decisions
- Proven project management capability, managing multiple initiatives concurrently
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as HR, education, business or psychology
