A great opportunity now exists for a strategic leader to take the helm as Manager Procurement within the City of Greater Dandenong to manage a diverse portfolio encompassing Strategic Procurement, Supplier Relations, Tendering, Vendor Panel Management, Supply Chain Management, Technology ( Software/Hardware) Procurement and Contract Management Advice and Assurance. Reporting into the CFO this key position will collaborate with other executives and leaders in the organisation to achieve a clear focus on achievement of excellence through partnerships.
The Successful Candidate will:
- Lead end-to–end procurement operations, ensuring strict adherence to policies and regulations.
- Craft and execute innovative procurement strategies, optimising costs, and efficiencies.
- Drive procurement initiatives, from supplier sourcing to contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Act as a strategic advisor, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with organisational objectives.
- Continuously evaluate procurement performance, identifying avenues for enhancement.
Having a proven track record in procurement, with a preference for experience within large, complex organisations. You will have a deep understanding of procurement best practices, processes, and compliance standards. Your exceptional negotiation prowess, coupled with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, will enhance your success in this role. Adept at thriving in fast-paced environments, both independently and as part of a cohesive team, you will have the drive and motivation to make a real difference.
