Library Services Officer (Branch Support)
Band 5 Salary range $82,392 - $95,116 pa (plus super)
Permanent Full Time (includes rostered evening and weekend shifts)
About the role
The Library Services Officer (Branch Support) works within the Creative and Engaged City Department and will be based at Dandenong Library. They will also work closely with the library teams who are based at the Springvale Community Hub and Keysborough Community Hub.
Your primary purpose in this position is to:
· Support and assist the community to access and use Library services and resources
· Ensure efficient and patron centred branch operations, workflows and procedures
· Contribute to the delivery of excellent service through Greater Dandenong’s Library Services
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding to lead and supervise staff in a dynamic library environment. You will be self-motivated to manage your time and organise your work to achieve set objectives in a team setting. You will be able to communicate with a diverse range of people and escalate or refer matters to appropriate staff, particularly facility maintenance requests. You will maintain and safe and well-presented library space and provide excellent customer service. You will be able to provide training and induct staff in branch processes and procedures. Abackground in library services and understanding of library trends is desirable.
