The City of Greater Dandenong is centrally located in South East Victoria and provides Council-run events and assists with Community events. We’ve just hosted our award-winning Springvale Snow Fest 2022!

We are seeking applicants that have:

  • Extensive knowledge of events planning and delivery
  • Experience in communicating advice to community/groups about planning and running events
  • Flexibility to undertake some weekend work directly associated with the delivery of the event
  • Capacity to drive Council fleet vehicle and van with equipment for events.

Reporting to Team Leader Festivals and Events, the role will provide:

  • Support and specialised advice to community groups and internal teams in the planning and operation of their events.
  • Liaison with Media and Communications to ensure widespread and effective marketing of Council-led festivals and events.
  • Assistance in the forward planning and development of Council’s festivals and events and other public engagement programs, as requested.

In accordance with government or Council requirements, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate evidence of an approved COVID-19 vaccination, including booster injections or an authorised medical exemption.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
