Reporting to the newly appointed CEO, the Executive Manager Strategic Growth and Advocacy is responsible for Council’s organisational strategy and performance; leading critical functions to ensure Council continues to support the current and future needs of the growing Dandenong community. By leveraging evidence, data and information, this critical role will be responsible for making the complex simple, creating a compelling vision and story to achieve significant advocacy and investment outcomes.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, Greater Dandenong City Council is seeking applications from executive leaders who are politically astute and who demonstrate contemporary and strategic leadership, a customer-first attitude and strong cultural values. You will bring proven experience leading transformation projects, uplifting technical capability and embedding sector leading practices. You have a proven track record leading and empowering multi-disciplinary staff, fostering a positive and motivated workplace culture, and building high-performing teams who take initiative, who are held in high regard across the organisation and who are excited to work under your leadership. A strong background in corporate advocacy and public policy initiatives, with a successful track record of achieving organisational outcomes through strategic initiatives is essential to be considered for this role.
