About the Role

This position plays a key role in managing and leading the future direction of endpoint computing for the Greater Dandenong City Council.

Your primary purpose in this position will include:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Employment Hub, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with Council priorities and grant objectives.
    • Develop and implement the Hub’s annual Business Plan and budget.
    • Lead employer engagement and stakeholder collaboration to create inclusive employment pathways.
    • Supervise staff and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
    • Work in partnership with service providers and Council internal teams to deliver integrated programs and services.
    • Drive continuous improvement and co-design initiatives using human-centred design principles.
    • Plan and deliver tailored employment programs, targeted sessions, and employer engagement activities to meet strategic outcomes.

About You

You thrive in both autonomous and guided environments, demonstrating agility and flexibility in a dynamic setting. Skilled at managing diverse stakeholders and navigating differing perspectives, you bring strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to achieve shared goals.
Additionally, you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, community development, employment services, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering employment programs and workforce initiatives, ideally including the management of hubs or similar service models.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse sectors and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and represent Council in diverse forums.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • Police Check.

This role may require occasional work outside standard business hours, including one evening per week and one weekend day per month.
