About the role

We are seeking individuals with a genuine desire to be a part of the Community Care industry, and who are committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of older residents.

About the opportunity:

  • Between 15 – 25 guaranteed hours of work per week minimum of 3 days per week
  • Must have successfully completed Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing Home and Community)
  • Must have a current valid driver licence and access to a car

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the following:

  • Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing Home and Community) or equivalent
  • Demonstrate a professional understanding of person centred care and how to achieve it
  • Display clear communications skills, along with a patient and supportive attitude and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A current (and ongoing) valid Level 2 First Aid, Victorian Driver’s License, and use of own vehicle as well as satisfactory (and ongoing) Police and Working with Children Check
  • While not essential, an ability to speak a language other than English will be viewed favourably.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
