A great opportunity now exists for a strategic leader to lead and drive Council’s technology vision, strategy, and implementation in this vibrant, positive, and progressive organisation as the Reporting into the CEO this key position in the Executive Leadership Team, will collaborate with other executives and leaders in the organisation to drive digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency and ensure alignment between technology initiatives and business goals.

The Successful Candidate will: 

  • Develop and execute strategic IT initiatives that align with organisational objectives and priorities.
  • Lead the digital transformation agenda, harnessing the power of emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
  • Oversee the management of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring robustness, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration within the IT department and across the organisation.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the senior leadership on IT investments and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity and data protection measures to safeguard digital assets and sensitive information

Having a proven track record of success at a senior IT leadership level in a complex, large organisation, preferably within the public sector, will provide a strong base for your success in this role. With a deep understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity best practices and emerging technologies, you will have a strong   of managing budgets and  project management. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive measurable outcomes.
