About the role
The Project Management Office (PMO), within the City Futures directorate, supports the planning, governance and delivery of Council’s capital works program. This role has been created to strengthen capital planning and project controls as Council’s project portfolio continues to grow.
The PMO Capital Planning Officer supports the development and continuous improvement of Council’s Project Management Framework. The role provides expert advice and analysis across project planning, forecasting, cost management, assurance and reporting to support informed decision‑making and consistent project delivery.
About you
You are a proactive and collaborative project professional with experience supporting capital projects within a PMO or in a complex environment. You have a strong understanding of the infrastructure project lifecycle and bring proven skills in developing and analysing schedules, budgets, forecasts and performance reports. You communicate clearly, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and demonstrate professionalism, integrity and an enabling, solutions‑focused mindset.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
