About the role

The Family Day Care Business Support Officer is responsible for:

  • Providing daily administrative and business support to the Team Leader Family Day Care and Field officers, including diary and email management, meeting coordination and correspondence preparation.
  • Coordinating financial processes such as invoice processing, childcare subsidy calculations, educator payments and acquittal reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate service records using Harmony and the Child Care Management System (CCMS), including data entry, reporting and system administration.
  • Delivering quality customer service to educators, families and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting department-wide business functions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative, funding and policy requirements.
  • Assisting with preparation of reports, briefing notes and project-related documentation.

About you

We are seeking an applicant who demonstrates:

  • Strong administrative capability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of (or ability to rapidly learn) CCMS, Harmony and related systems.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to interpret and apply government childcare funding requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
