The Team Leader Asset Data and GIS have a team of 5 staff that support the council's Asset and GIS systems. It is a detail-oriented role that requires some knowledge of assets, data management, systems and GIS, but is also just as focused on managing and supporting a highly functioning team. Additional responsibilities include:
The primary objectives of the position are to:
- To effectively lead, supervise and manage the operations of the Asset Data and GIS Team to ensure Business Plans, Service Standards, Budget and Team outcomes are achieved using Continuous Improvement Principles.
- To develop, maintain and improve business systems and processes for managing infrastructure assets, capital projects, maintenance and service delivery.
- To improve the data quality within the systems to ensure that the data requirements of the organisation are met.
- To ensure that data, systems and processes fully support the needs of the Asset Management Lifecycle at every stage including:
- maintenance and Operations
- review and revaluation
Required for the position is a relevant tertiary qualification in Business Information Systems, Information Technology or appropriate experience in other related disciplines with several years of relevant experience. Experience and skills in project and change management (preferably process improvement). A current valid Driver's Licence.
